The Burlington Education Foundation sponsored William Duffy’s Artist Residency last spring. During the three day residency Mr. Duffy taught Art and Social Studies students in the ninth grade. Students learned about the process of creating a public sculpture, made their own sculpture and generated ideas that Mr. Duffy will use to create a future sculpture for the the town. The sculpture will represent aspects of the identity of the community. The exhibition in the Cambridge Street Gallery includes a bronze sculpture and plaster sculpture from William Duffy as well as ceramic portrait sculptures from art and history students.
