Studio Art for Educators 2016Painting by Avis McCloy For the second year my district supported the FREE (well except for the $30 supply fee) course titled " Studio Art for Educators". We had teachers join us from Burlington as well as surrounding schools. It was four FUN filled days of educators having the gift of 22 hours of ART MAKING! Here is what the educators said about the course: "I am relaxed and ready to spend the rest of the summer making art" "This was such a gift to myself to experiment with art...so enjoyable and relaxing" "It's good to be a student!" "Mistakes" are my friend" "Relax-Create- it's all good" "Take a risk" "Great to be a student and experience the range of feelings and thoughts they must also experience." Check out these wonderful works of art created in a broad range of mediums and materials! Special thanks to Patrick Larkin, Burlington Public Schools Assistant Superintendent for Learning and George Ratkevich, Visual Arts Program Coordinator for supporting the funding for this course and giving and the gift of time to be creative to educators!
Be on the look out for more courses running next summer!
