Earth Day Art Project

Earth Day is on April 22, 2014. The objective of the day is to raise awareness about our planets resources and impact that we have on our planet. As artists you have the power to educate, and effect change by creating art that can reuse supplies and raise awareness about our environment. We will be out on school vacation but will display our creations on April 30.

Process:

• You will need to research artists, materials and how artist have used recycled materials to create sculptures, paintings, and installations.
  
• Decide if you would like to work in a group or alone
  
• Complete the proposal below by April 4

Recycled Art Sculpture Proposal
You will create a google presentation that contains the following information:

• Concept/ Message that you would like to convey through your artwork
  
• Who is in your group or are you working alone
  
• Inspiration images/ List of artists/ videos/ articles,etc.
  
• Multiple sketches and ideas ( these may be on paper and photographed or created digitally, they may contain drawings, digital images and words)
