Sketchbook Assignment - Directional Lines

10/16/2018

Picture
Unlike the expressive, directional lines are very precise. Lines should all be the same thickness. These lines look as if they are bending and overlapping. This is not "free" like expressive lines but calculated, constant, and even.

  • Start anywhere on your paper. Move in a certain direction. stop and begin in a new direction
  • Keep lines in a group the same distance apart
  • Try to go in every direction at least once
  • Use color drawing material of your choice

Installation art is a genre of art that incorporates any media to create a visceral and/or conceptual experience in a particular environment.

It can include any media from tree branches to words or, more traditional media such as sculpture, video, sound, and space itself.

Some installations are site-specific; they can only exist in the space for which they were created.
